As mid January rolls in and we start preparing for our year number 2, I can’t help but look back on all that 2017 brought to Hop Hollow and feel so thankful to everyone that has helped along the way. I can’t put into words my gratitude to everyone that has supported our healthy beer soap work.
During our first full year making beer soap we got to visit so many exceptional breweries, both long time friends and up and coming neighbors. Not only am I excited about all of the REALLY good beer but the dedication these breweries have to making a meaningful impact on their community is truly outstanding. In 2017 our beloved beer businesses worked to raise awareness of local history and charitable causes, donated to veterans, community organizations, shelters, promoted works of local musicians, artists and artisans, hosted charitable events, just to name a few of the many, many philanthropic gestures. It is also noteworthy to mention that in 2017 you could visit your local brewery to participate in a yoga class, trivia night, macramé class, painting, terrarium making, family feud game night, and even some winter sledding. THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO !! Looking forward to 2018, I am excited to continue to create new, healthy beer soaps and offer a small step towards big change for healthier skin and sustainable living. As with all handmade, natural soap, it's important that you keep your soap in a dish or tray that keeps the soap elevated above the bottom of the dish, allowing the water to drain and the air to circulate and dry your soap.
